Introduction

RHCSA Rapid Track

The Red Hat Certified System Adminstrator Rapid Track (RH199) course is designed as a rapid training course on system administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux for IT professionals with significant exposure to Linux. Students with a foundational understanding of the Linux command line will learn key tasks to administer a single Red Hat Enterprise Linux system.

This course is an accelerated course.

When delivered as an instructor-led course, this course covers training content in 5 days that is normally covered during 10 days in Red Hat System Administration I and Red Hat System Administration II. Some concepts from those other two courses are covered only briefly in this course or are not covered.

Course Objectives

  • Learn essential skills needed for Red Hat Enterprise Linux configuration, administration, and maintenance in a condensed format designed for experienced Linux system administrators who seek RHCSA certification.

Prerequisites

  • Some knowledge of fundamental Linux computing concepts and readiness to perform system administration tasks. Students should be comfortable with running common Linux commands from the shell prompt. Experience working with Linux as a system administrator is recommended.

  • If you do not have experience with fundamental Linux concepts, Red Hat recommends that you attend the Red Hat System Administration I (RH124) and Red Hat System Administration II (RH134) courses instead.
