The
rootuser can use themountcommand to manually mount a file system.To successfully unmount a device, all processes must stop accessing the mount point.
The removable storage devices are mounted in the
/run/mediadirectory when using the graphical environment.The
lsblkcommand lists the details of block devices, such as the size and the UUID.The
partedcommand adds, modifies, and removes partitions on disks with the MBR or the GPT partitioning scheme.The
mkfs.xfscommand creates XFS file systems on disk partitions.The
/etc/fstabfile contains devices that must be persistently mounted.The
mkswapcommand initializes swap spaces.
Lab Controls
Click CREATE to build all of the virtual machines needed for the classroom lab environment. This may take several minutes to complete. Once created the environment can then be stopped and restarted to pause your experience.
If you DELETE your lab, you will remove all of the virtual machines in your classroom and lose all of your progress.
