In this exercise, you will create a new data center in your Red Hat Virtualization environment.
Outcomes
You should be able to create a new data center.
Log in to the workstation virtual machine (VM) as the student user, with student as the password.
On the workstation VM, run the lab datacenters-createdc start command.
This command runs a start script that determines if the Red Hat Virtualization environment is configured and working.
[student@workstation ~]$lab datacenters-createdc start
On workstation, open the Firefox web browser.
Log in to the Red Hat Virtualization Manager Administration Portal using the https://rhvm.lab.example.com URL.
The username is admin and the password is redhat.
Create a new data center, named development.
On the menu, click Compute, then choose Data Centers from the menu.
At the top right hand side of the window, find and click the button.
In the New Data Center window, enter development in the Name field.
Keep the default values for the other fields.
Click the button to create the data center.
In the pop-up window titled Data Center - Guide Me, click .
In the Compute >> Data Centers window, verify that the value of the Status field for the development data center is Uninitialized.
