Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 7 (JBoss EAP) is a fast, lightweight, flexible, modular, and cloud-ready application server. It is certified to the Jakarta EE 8 web, and full Profiles.
JBoss EAP 7 is based on the Wildfly open source projects, by the JBoss community, but productized and supported by Red Hat.
JBoss EAP 7 can be deployed as a standalone server, or as a managed domain.
There are several different ways to install JBoss EAP 7. You can also deploy JBoss EAP to Red Hat OpenShift.
Most JBoss EAP features are provided as extension modules, that are loaded and activated only when required by an application.
JBoss EAP 7 provides, by default, four different profiles: default, ha, full, and full-ha.
An extension provides one or more subsystem, and a profile contains configuration for different subsystems.
There are several different options to configure and manage JBoss EAP 7: manually by editing XML files, the management console, and the JBoss EAP CLI.
On RHEL 7, 8, and 9, JBoss EAP 7 can be configured to start at boot and managed as an Operating System service via the systemctl facility of the operating system.
Click CREATE to build all of the virtual machines needed for the classroom lab environment. This may take several minutes to complete. Once created the environment can then be stopped and restarted to pause your experience.
If you DELETE your lab, you will remove all of the virtual machines in your classroom and lose all of your progress.
