Managing CentOS Migrations and RHEL Upgrades (RH174) provides the skills to migrate existing CentOS Linux servers to supported versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Course Objectives

Identify potential risks that are associated with the migration process and implement plans to avoid, mitigate, or remediate them.
Convert CentOS Linux systems to Red Hat Enterprise Linux by using the convert2rhel utility.
Determine whether to update converted Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems to a more recent major version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and identify any challenges.
Update a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 system to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 by using in-place upgrades with Leapp.

Audience

System administrators or other IT professionals responsible for planning and performing the conversion from CentOS Linux to Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Prerequisites

Sysadmin-level experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and running commands from the shell (RHCSA certification or equivalent skills with RHEL and CentOS Linux).
